Tom Anderson, M.D. Tom Anderson, M.D. Dr. Tom Anderson is a Montana native, born and raised in Ekalaka, Montana. He attended the University of Montana and Stanford University School of Medicine. He completed his internal medicine residency, including being Chief Resident, at the University of Rochester in New York. He received his fellowship training in Medical Oncology and Hematology at the National Cancer Institute/National Institutes of Health in Bethesda, MD. Dr. Anderson is board certified in Internal Medicine and Medical Oncology, and is board qualified in Hematology. He has been practicing with HOCNR since 2000 when he relocated back to Montana and Wyoming after a distinguished career in academic medicine, first at the National Cancer Institute and subsequently at the Medical College of Wisconsin where he was the recipient of the first endowed chair in medical oncology and served as the Chief of Hematology and Oncology. He has published over 100 scientific articles and 17 textbook chapters. He has received the Distinguished Alumni award from the University of Montana, and Distinguished Faculty award from the Medical College of Wisconsin. In addition to receiving many academic and clinical recognition honors, he has been a member of “Best Doctors in America” since 1992. He enjoys caring for patients with all types of cancer, and has been recognized both nationally and internationally for his expertise in lymphomas and cancers of breast, colon, ovary, testis, and prostate. After initially practicing half-time in Billings, MT and Cody, WY he has now relocated his practice full-time to Cody, WY with an outreach clinic in Worland, WY. When not working he is probably fishing. |
